Days of Paradise

It was day one and it was already breathtaking. Touching down from a long flight was very relieving. BD Travel better known as Best Day Travel was there to shuttle us to this beautiful resort, I now know as Baha Principe. The drive was rather long from the Cancun International airport, 1 because I was ready and excited, 2 because I was hungry after a long day of travel. Once the shuttle arrived to Baha Principe, I was greeted in a very friendly manner with great tasting champagne along with smiling faces. Checking in consisted of first & last name,  a cool towel, champagne, a lime green wristband, and a personal butler!  Yes, a personal Butler by the name of Victor. Once initial check-in was completed I was then shuttled to my villa on a golf cart.

After a quick tour of the room, I then sped over to the 24-hour snack bar where I could not wait to get my fix on The Mexican Spin on foods. I love eating their baked tortilla chips with fresh pico de gallo and cheese. I loved every bite with my pool view. The 24-hour snack bar served a bit of everything from chicken, hot dogs, burgers, pizza, french fries, fruit, wraps, and sandwiches.

The all adult property had 3 pools and many places to chill. The grass was super green and the flowers were very vibrant in color, so no matter where you sat or decided to eat the moment was priceless and picturesque. Baha Principe is one grand resort, because there were at least four Resorts in one, Sian Ka’an, Akumal, Coba, and Tulum, and each one had a little hidden gem. For example one had a dolphin attraction, another had a water park, another one with shops and small stores and not to mention a long stretch of beach with plenty of water activities & sports. So there was absolutely no reason to leave the resort unless you just booked an excursion that caused you to leave.

There were many restaurants that you could attend if you didn’t want the buffet that was provided with your all inclusive band. These restaurants were indeed apart of your all inclusive band, however, you did have to make a reservation to secure your spot. The second night we ate a popular Seafood restaurant by the name of Fiesta del Mar. At this beachfront restaurant, a menu was given and you would be able to choose an appetizer, a main entree, as well as dessert. I enjoyed Salmon dinner with a Miami Vice to drink and finished off with a Raspberry Parfait, which was really a delicious pound cake with Raspberry toppings. The third night we enjoyed a Japanese dinner at Mikado!  A gorgeous menu was given and I was able to choose a starter, a soup, a main entree, and a dessert. Might I add a very green glass of champagne. This was my first time that I would eat raw food for an appetizer and yes it is safe to say I do not eat Sushi. I decided to go with the raw salmon and veggies with soy sauce. I actually liked it. For my main course, I ate chicken and shrimp noodles that had a very exotic and soft taste. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and the shrimp were very big and meaty. "It was soooooo good." I ended up drinking two glasses of the champagne because Kevin did not want to drink his, so I drank it on his behalf. My dessert, a  Strawberry Tart, topped off the night. {Strawberry Tart= a strawberry with lots of whip cream on a graham cookie}.  Needless, to say the food is a worry free zone while staying at this resort, you shall never be hungry. The resort was awesome and if my opinion mattered I would definitely give the Resort 5 stars!

I also loved the fact that every resort has nightly entertainment! If that's not good for you the resort also has a nightclub if you would like to drink all night and enjoy some music! Remember your all inclusive band gives you all access! The nightclub has security and you of have to be of age to get in. If you are not of age they will let you enter the teen's nightclub in a different area of the resort.

Chilling on my rooms rooftop in a jacuzzi was very nice. Our butler made sure the water was warm with bubbles and rose petals was a nice end to our vacation. Our room details: 2 stories, his and her robe with house shoes were provided, a minibar stocked with soda, water, and alcohol (DAILY), a king bed with sofa and table. Our room was very nice. I also loved the restroom because it was spacious with walk-in shower. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend it for family or a Baecation.

*Stay tuned for my Mexico finds.
