Glam Travel: Las Vegas
Hi GLAM DOLLS! Another travel Blog is here. Sinnnn City baby!! I spent my Spring Break in Las Vegas March 12th-15th. Do you know for Hotel and flight I spent a total of $380.00. YEEEEESSS $380 dollars, I am a deal queen when it comes down to travel. You think I should be a travel agent on the side or nah? Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the most traveled to places, full of people, bars, clubs, hotels, casinos, shows, and Louis Vuitton stores. Well if you want to know a little bit more about this Fabulous city keep reading for a quick and GLAM insight.
Hotel Info: The Luxor
The Luxor, AKA the Pyramid Hotel, the hotel Criss Angel levitated from is such an amazing Hotel & Casino. The Egyptian themed hotel was very clean and crisp. There were no check in issues, we were even allowed to check in early at no additional cost or anything like that! I thought that was AMAZING because some hotels on the strip do not accommodate you in such a manner. They say you can check your bags and come back later. Check out was even easier, checked out on the TV, and poof we were gone. Wow! That was easy right? Our room was in the tower on the 14th floor, we did not stay in the pyramid. This hotel is the home of the Titanic and Bodies Exhibit, Carrot Top the Comedian, and the Blue Man Group. There are plenty of restaurants and a food court if you do not want to leave your hotel! There is even a 24 hour convenient store in the Luxor. Check out the Las Vegas Vlog on our YouTube so see a peek of our room.
Things To Do:
Eat, Shop, Drink, Party, Walk, and Gamble. Due to the cold nature of the weather we were not able to chill poolside or order a cabana. Spring Break was a little nippy but it was totally beautiful outside. Nothing a long sleeve body suit, light jacket, and jeans couldn’t handle. With that being said here are some of the cool things we did:
Attending the Fine Art Gallery in the Bellagio to view Yayoi Kusama’s 2 galleries. The price is $15 per person, for the main attraction that last about 45 seconds. The Infinity Mirrored Room, is the most sought-after piece of art to stand in. The question is it worth the $15.00?We thought it was pretty GLAM.
Sunbuggy ATV Rental: Waking up early for an excursion was so fun & exciting! Knowing I was about to hit the desert trails I got up did my morning routine, then put my headband on, dressed in Nike from head to toe. I strapped my go pro on and hit the trails. ATVing in the North Las Vegas Desert was a great thrill. We would like to thank Daniel our tour guide for this wonderful experience. The price was about $133 per person. The price included transportation to and from the hotel, gear such as helmet, googles, gloves, that were given back. Things that were keep sakes in the price was a Sunbuggy T-shirt and bandanna. Bottles of water was provided from the Sunbuggy team. You could get a lot of amazing photos out there, however, it was cold so I definitely stayed bundled up.
Romantic Dinner On Top Of The World, yes that’s right head over to the Stratosphere Hotel to spin into an elegant dinner literally sitting on Top of Las Vegas. It was so nice and I was slowly overcoming my fear of being so high up and spinning. It is a slow spin so you wouldn’t be able to notice until you were in a spot you never noticed. The concept is sooooo cooooool and beautiful. The food was amazing, the prices were about $40 and up per plate, depending on the dish. My husband indulged in Steak, Oscar styled as I devoured a King Salmon. Everything was to my liking. An astonishing view with delicious food! While eating dinner there were even two people that bungee jumped off the side of the Stratosphere! (SCARRRYYY) If you are in Vegas, it’s definitely a must do! <<<< eat at the restaurant that is! LOL
And finally, we shopped til we dropped! Every outlet both North and South of Las Vegas as well as every mall on the strip! So much fun! I know you don’t need a guide for shopping. The most beautiful mall is Caesar’s Palace! A must see! Below are some pictures of places we visited.
Las Vegas might be Sin City but it has so many activities and places to have fun. I will not be able to cover every aspect of Vegas but this was one the most adventurous vacations I’ve taken in a while. I did not go partying or anything this go round, but I did enjoy all my activities I did. I hope this travel blog helps you with a little motivation to go if you have never been. There is a place in Vegas for everyone!
Quick Tips before I go: When you land get a round trip shuttle to your hotel. Located in ground transportation at the airport. They will give you a ticket back so the shuttle can pick you up for your departure. Secondly, wear comfy shoes it’s a lot of walking you don’t even realize you’re doing because it’s so much to do. Finally, get a 3 day $20 bus pass so you can ride the Deuce or the SDX, whether you are riding up and down the strip or traveling off strip it’s great to have. This pass has saved my knees and feet plenty of times! This bus ride will even take you to the Famous Las Vegas sign!
Please watch our VLOG so you can visually see my time spent there. Until the next Flight, be Glam always!
